my poem titled “Technicolor”

life, love, poem, poetry, writing

We are all just light and dark

In this chaiscuro world

Striding through the grey days

With cloudy skies and clouded heads

Until you came along

You shone like a small sun

Lighting up the darkest days

Emanating light into all the black and grey places

That people try so desperately hide

Those that muddled through the day

In a slow shuffle

Now slow for a new found reason

To admire your glow

They warm and melt like candle wax

Until they morph into kinder beings

And one day the world is thrust

Into Technicolor
